The first step in the adventure of life…

'...children are there to experience and enjoy childhood' – Good Schools Guide

‘All pupils, day and boarding, thrive at school because of its established culture of listening, care and respect…’ Independent Schools Inspectorate

Here at Bilton Grange each child can grow up better because they can stay younger longer. Here, each child can be the hero of his or her own story because we make learning the adventure it should be. Indeed, the adventure it must be, if your child’s potential is to be realised. Here, there is a natural development of skills and abilities that is natural and unforced.

The next step…
Each year we work with every family (and the whole family is very much part of life here) to decide what is the right senior school for their child – the one that will continue best the journey whose first steps were taken here. It is no surprise that in 2019, all our children went on to their first choice of senior school.

Location
Bilton Grange sits within 90 acres of beautiful heritage parkland, woodland and gardens providing a wonderful, rural experience for our children. Its Warwickshire location is a few minutes drive from Rugby which is an easy 48-minute train commute to London.

Facilities
Sporting facilities include a 25m indoor swimming pool, 9-hole golf course, a new hockey pitch housed within a Pugin walled garden, a shooting range, extensive sports pitches for rugby, cricket and rounders, and numerous netball courts.

The dedicated sports hall offers squash courts, basketball and badminton courts and a trampoline. Performing Arts productions are very well staged thanks to our purpose-built Ravenscroft theatre with its impressive stage and lighting. Bright and airy classrooms look out over the rolling fields and gardens and inspire many creative subjects, whilst our dedicated Science labs, fully-equipped Design Technology studio complete with 3D printer, milling machine and Roland vinyl cutter enable children to enjoy the practical application of academic subjects away from the classroom. Art studios are awash with colour and texture and are a place where pupils can develop their skills using a variety of methods, there is also a sculpture room and a kiln.

Bilton Grange also has its own chapel where assemblies, hymn practice and celebrations are held throughout the year.

Boarding Houses
Full, weekly and flexi boarding are all popular at Bilton Grange, and life is fun, with children able to take their first steps towards independence in warm, homely houses supported by our amazing team of matrons and house mothers led by our assistant head (boarding).

We have one boys’ house and one girls’ house, and both have undergone extensive refurbishment, with dorms being redecorated (in consultation with the children) to ensure these truly are homes from home.

Academic
Last year, all our pupils went on to their first choice of senior school, often with scholarship offers.

Co-curricular
Children here develop their sporting techniques and sportsmanship whether they are playing at a national level or simply want to try something new. Every child is supported to be active with a huge range of opportunities to choose from.
All year groups are encouraged to perform each term and the end of year productions generate much excitement throughout the School.
