At its heart, Beaudesert is a school that exudes warmth and welcome. It is, and always has been, a caring school. 

Location

The School is nestled in the rolling hills of the Cotswold countryside, with its 30 acres spanning across part of Minchinhampton Common and tumbling down through the forest below. Despite our country setting, we enjoy deceptively good travel links to London, Bristol, Bath and Cheltenham.  

Our School

We see our children here growing much in the same way as the beautiful trees that surround us each day. They lay deep and secure roots, grow with confidence, branch out in many and often unexpected directions, blossom uniquely, and live to reach for ever increasing heights.

Staff at Beaudesert know what a privilege it is to be entrusted with guiding children through their prep school years. These are years during which they grow, change and develop more than at any other time. Life at Beaudesert is incredibly rich and varied, offering children the chance to find their moments of magic.

They make memories and friendships for life, and experience an enormous breadth of opportunities which allow them to find their passions and strengths.

Facilities

In the Pre-Prep, our bright and airy Nursery includes its own garden and ‘messy studio’ for the most varied free-flow play. Both our Reception classrooms open out on to their own outdoor play space, and all Pre-Prep children look forward to their mornings at Forest School, hidden deep in the woodland on site. 

Our award-nominated Performing Arts Centre boasts soundproofed music ‘pods’, a recording studio, a mirror-walled dance space as well as a beautiful auditorium. Specialist Art and DT Studios sit within the heart of the School, along with multiple Science Labs. 

Our young sports men and women benefit from indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor Sports Hall, hockey astro and muti-use games area, plus endless grass sports pitches. 

Unlike other prep schools which share their facilities with their partnered senior schools, all of Beaudesert’s facilities are solely used by and for Beaudesert Park children. 

Boarding House

Children can board from Year 4, and we can accommodate both weekly and flexi boarders. Our boarders stay in the main school building, enjoying their run of the school facilities after hours, and relaxing in newly renovated dorms upstairs. They are supported by our excellent team of Houseparents, Matrons and Gap students. 

Beyond Beaudesert

In 2026, our leavers moved on to 17 different leading senior schools, with 28 scholarship and award offers between them. You can find details on which schools and scholarships on our website. 

Co-curricular

We offer an exceptional range of specialist activities for our children including golf, polo, judo, fencing and ballet. We host 17 peripatetic music teachers over the week, and over 100 children take LAMDA lessons from Year 4.
